Notifications - Overview
Notifications keep users informed about activities across their workspace - covering workspace invitations, comments, collaboration updates, and administrative events. Notifications can appear inside the app, by email, and as push notifications on mobile. What are Notifications? Notifications are automated alerts that inform users about workspace events, collaboration updates, and administrative actions. They help users stay aware of changes affecting their work without constantly checking multiple applications or views. Why use Notifications? - Keep track of all relevant updates without manual checking. - Improve collaboration by receiving instant alerts about mentions or assignments. - Stay informed about workspace management changes (invitations, user roles, etc.). How does it work? Notifications are generated automatically when specific actions occur, for example, when someone mentions you in a comment, assigns you to a record, or sends a workspace invitation. Users can view notifications in three ways: - In-app - via the bell icon π in the sidebar. - Email - for selected events (e.g. invitations). - Mobile push - for users of the mobile app who have enabled notifications in system settings. The Notifications panel contains three tabs: - All - shows every notification. - Assigned to me - shows rows where you are listed as a collaborator. - Mentions - lists comments where you were tagged. Notifications can be deleted, marked as read, or filtered by type. Notes - Notification preferences are global for each user within a workspace. - Email delivery depends on workspace configuration and event type. - Push notifications depend on device permissions. - Settings apply globally - if a notification type is disabled, it wonβt appear in any channel.
